Millions of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the next payment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, one of the government’s key income support programmes for the farming community. With the previous installment already credited a few months ago, attention has now shifted to the much-anticipated 22nd installment, which is expected to bring financial relief ahead of the upcoming agricultural season.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?
Launched by the Government of India, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to eligible small and marginal farmers. This amount is transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
The objective of the scheme is to support farmers in meeting farming-related expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and other essential needs. Since its launch, the scheme has become a major source of income support for crores of farmers across the country.
PM Kisan 22nd Installment: Expected Date
So far, 21 installments have been released under the PM Kisan scheme. The 21st installment was credited on November 19, 2025.
As per the scheme’s pattern, installments are released at an interval of around four months. Based on this timeline, the 22nd installment is likely to be released in the first or second week of February 2026. Most problems are usually resolved within 2 to 4 weeks after correction.
